Hello, I’m Leah.

I’ve been helping clients find ease in their bodies for nearly 30 years as a massage therapist.

Also integral to my work and understanding of movement are teaching yoga, and coaching strength and running.

FAQ

  • At times I keep a wait list for new clients, but currently I can get folks on my schedule relatively quickly, and I’d love to work with you.

  • I hope to make massage more accessible to a wider range of students by offering shorter 45 minute sessions on a sliding scale of $70-$120.

High school student athletes may also come in for full sessions at the regular rate.

  • I can process credit and debit cards including HSA and FSA debit cards, and am also happy to accept cash, check, or Venmo.

Payment is due at time of service.

  • I do not bill insurance. Many clients pay for massage therapy via their flexible spending or health savings accounts, so it may be worth looking into those options if they are available to you.

However reimbursement from your insurance company (usually partial) may be available to you. I suggest calling your insurance provider to ask the following questions:

    • Will they reimburse for massage therapy from an out of network provider?

    • Can this provider be a Licensed Massage Therapist (Washington law requires insurance companies to offer complimentary and alternative therapies. Sometimes massage therapy is a covered benefit but not by a massage therapist).

    • What duration of time will they reimburse (usually this is 4 x 15 minute units)?

    • What will you need to submit to receive reimbursement?

Usually you will need a billing statement from me. *Please note that if you are required to submit a diagnosis code, this must come to me in writing from a diagnosing provider in the form of a prescription clearly stating that the prescription is for massage therapy, includes the diagnosis with diagnosis code, includes treatment frequency and duration (ex. 6 visits in 6 weeks), and is signed and dated by the referring provider. I am unable to diagnose or generate a diagnosis code under my scope of practice.

This may sound like a lot of work, but if you get through it once, the pieces are in place!

  • I see clients mostly weekdays, mostly middays. If you can’t find something on my schedule that works for you, please let me know and we can likely work something out, even if I need to open my schedule outside of normal hours for a session or two.

Even though I am not regularly seeing clients on the weekend, I will sometimes overflow with a few appointments last minute. If this interests you, keep an eye on my schedule, or use the scheduling app to add yourself to a waitlist for the days that work for you.
