Yoga
An educator at heart, I love helping clients find both a clear understanding and the physical embodiment of their yoga practice, especially those new or who have not found detailed instruction they desire.
My work as a massage therapist, strength and run coach deeply inform private individual and small group sessions tailored to the needs and goals of your practice. We can move through a guided session, or spend time breaking down specific postures or sequencing of postures. We can dissect particular newer or older styles of yoga, and also spend time on breath, meditation and restorative sessions. The time is yours!
In addition to private individual and small group sessions, small group public guided sessions and foundational classes will begin in 2026.
Styles I Enjoy Teaching
foundational
Working on the foundations can help you tailor a practice that makes sense for your needs, help you feel more comfort and confident as you partake in your practice, wherever you choose to get on your mat. With an emphasis on teaching many of the postures and series of postures students are presented with in yoga classes today, I help those who want to feel more confident stepping into a variety of styles of studio classes, online sessions, or those who have or want to start a home practice.
slow flow
Slow flow sessions begin with a slow, grounding warm up and lead to sequencing that builds heat and stimulates specific muscular activation with the goal of leaving you feeling strong, balanced and centered. Postures are held for multiple breaths with slow, intentional transitions.
gentle
Gentle yoga asks for less effort from you. Generally sequenced similarly to slow flow to begin—with slow, warming movement—and moving into longer held gentle postures and completely restful asana, you will calm the nervous system and connect to your breath. Slower gentle yoga is great movement as recovery for athletes or to simply for anyone wanting to emphasize calming the nervous system. It’s a great practice to get familiar with and to use as an entire practice, or to incorporate in smaller moments throughout a day as needed.
restorative
Balancing all of the doing of our day to day, restorative yoga is for completely restful long held postures. Setting up with many props to find support, comfort and complete relaxation is the intention. This is a perfect practice to use on its own or to incorporate into an existing practice.
